TAXI CONCESSIONARY FARES SCHEME

FOR RESIDENTS OF GERRARDS CROSS, AGED 60 AND OVER,

TRAVELLING TO MEDICAL FACILITIES.

 

The Parish Council has successfully operated the Taxi Concessionary Fares Scheme for a number of years now. The service is aimed at residents aged 60 and over who live within the Parish of Gerrards Cross and have difficulties in getting to and from appointments at local hospitals and medical services (such as doctors surgeries, dentists and opticians). We use one approved taxi company and members can obtain a rebate of up to 70% on fares.

There is a very simple application form to fill in (which can be obtained from the Parish Council Office) and once this has been approved and a pass issued, you become a member of the scheme and can start using the service.

For current members, we are pleased to say that the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor has just been added to the list of approved destinations included under the scheme.
